27/07/08 YHPG Open Day A Success

YHPG members welcomed visitors and supporters to the YHPG Open Day at Aeroventure in sunny Doncaster. Standing in front of their newly acquired Wessex helicopter are Alan, Marie, Pete, Mike and James.

YHPG were on hand to talk to visitors about their latest projects. Here Mike is updating James on the operation of their yellow Whirlwind. This was the jet engine prototype for the type and is still operational.

Pete was busy at work during the day demonstrating his helicopter restoration skills for visitors. On this occasion replacing a fuselage skin on another YHPG Whirlwind in their restoration workshop.
