Baroness Thatcher on parade with Sgt Eddy Candlish RM on her left. Eddy was shot down in our Gazelle XX411 on 21st May 1982.

Sgt Eddy Candlish, was first to lay a wreath in memory of his pilot Sgt Andy Evans RM also for Lt Ken Francis RM and Lance Corporal Pat Giffin RM who were also shot down and killed in Gazelle XX402 on the same day.

Gazelle XX411 was recovered in 1982 and bought as a wreck by Doncaster Aeroventure museum in 2002. XX411 was fully restored for the 25th anniversary of the Falklands War.

A drumhead service was held after laying the wreaths

Afterwards Baroness Thatcher toured the aircraft used in the 1982 war.
