XX411 Restoration #4
Here are the restoration photographs in reverse date order with the most recent at the top.
A big thank you to Bertie for supplying the photos and keeping us updated.
April 2007

Here we have the brand new message chute that has just arrived and we have
just painted. The paint is a two part mix. I hope I got it right otherwise its just a sticky mess.
The second picture is the red and black seals that we are waiting for. The
perspex is sandwiched between two layers of rubber and between the canopy
and the outer cover.
Here is a picture of the first time XX411 has stood on her own skids since we received the helicopter.

Here we have the ECU fitted. I left the crane supporting the engine over night just in case anything gave way. Luckily it didn't and the airframe seems totally sound.

Having carried the forward fuselage up from the RUBB hangar and put it under
the crane we have now fitted the MRH/MRGB. Next comes the ECU.

The side panel is stitched on now and just for effect I fitted the rear doors. We are still waiting for the rubber seals for the canopy before we fit the forward doors.
The engine deck is slowly being filled and rubbed down

The rivets are all in place and the tailboom nearly ready for spraying. Just a few patches at the forward end are needed

The two halves are together and just need riveting.

Taking a well earned photo call:- Stevie Earle, "Casper" Marriot, Shane Perera, Leon Middlemass, Mike Panting,
Bertie, Ash Longhurst, Ade Lindley and finally Baz Wheeler
