As the museum's Vickers Valetta nears completion we have more news on its identity.

Using the excellent book "The Vickers Valetta" by Bill Overton and a process of elimination our Valetta is possibly WJ476

This aircraft was declared a non-effective airframe on 17/07/66, moving to 5MU Apprentice School at Kemble on 04/08/66 and being assigned maintenance number 7919M

When our restoration commmenced we found a Central Flying School badge painted on the nose under several layers of paint.

The Central Flying School was at Kemble at the same time as 5MU and this appears to be the only Valetta that fits.
